Who am I and what do I do?
In 50 words...
Vibrant colour flows across the paper where cobalt blue has become a signature in my self-imposed three colour palette. An Edmonton-based watercolour artist, I drop my liquid paint into water and encourage it to become a painting of what inspires me most about the natural world above and below.
Why do I do what I do?
It grounds me and gives me perspective. Painting calms me.
I paint my memories and the images I see in everyday life inspire me.
How do I do what I do?
Liquid watercolours allow me the freedom of pigment separation and organic colour blending. I add visual texture and build translucent layers slowly to create the finished painting.
Fun Fact: I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Drawing from the Alberta College of Art and Design.
